OBJECTIVE:
Removal of the deteriorating concrete water tower from the roof of the seven-story Phoenix Building in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward.
SOLUTION:
Barthenheier completed the water tower demolition over the course of one month, using a combination of machinery, crane services, and manual labor. Particular care was taken to protect the roof and adjacent parking lot using a system of scaffolds.
