234 Florida Street

Renovation of a 100,000 sq. ft. heavy timber building from industrial use into office and retail space for lease. The scope of work included a complete gut and reconstruction of the core and shell, as well as addition of cutting edge amenities and receipt of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design/Core and Shell (LEED-CS) certification.

Mitchell Building

Stabilization of the historic Mitchell Building, which was sinking due to rotting foundation pile.

Holy Hill Steeple Reconstruction

Restoration of the interior of the south viewing steeple to its original bare brick interior. The work was performed without disturbing the regular church activities of this cherished Wisconsin landmark.

Monroe Building

Conversion of a 30-foot-deep abandoned Wisconsin Electric powerhouse basement to in the a two-story underground parking structure. Though other contractors were asked to consider the project, Barthenheier was the only one able to produce a plan to realize this vision.

Conversion of an empty 52,000 sq. ft., timber-framed manufacturing/warehouse building into retail and office space with the latest modern amenities.

Addition of five line shaft bases for bearing blocks, performed during two 3-day shutdown windows to minimize downtime.
